Together, the Foundation and employees raised an impressive $36,100 to aid in recovery and rebuilding efforts in the Augusta and Valdosta regions.

The combined funds have been directed to the United Way of the CSRA in Augusta and the Greater Valdosta United Way. Both organizations are on the ground, delivering essential supplies, shelter, and long-term support to hurricane victims, well after the immediate crisis fades from the news cycle.

Kim Nelson, CEO of BankSouth Mortgage, echoed these sentiments. “Our hearts are with everyone affected by the storm’s devastation. Our teams are ready to support those in need, whether through recovery efforts, providing resources, or simply being a source of comfort. We encourage anyone impacted to reach out.”

Hurricane Helene has caused widespread destruction, displacing families and cutting off access to many basic necessities.
