Domestic wire transfers typically process the same business day if submitted before our cutoff time; contact your local branch for our current cutoff time. International wires can take 1-3 business days depending on the destination country, intermediary banks, and currency conversion requirements.
For domestic wires, you’ll need the recipient’s name, bank name, routing number, and account number. For international wires, you’ll also need the recipient’s bank address, SWIFT code, and possibly an IBAN number depending on the destination country.
Wire transfers are secure, but they’re also irrevocable once sent; they’re very difficult or impossible to reverse. Always verify payment instructions directly with the recipient using a known phone number, not email, to protect against Business Email Compromise and wire fraud scams.
Wire transfer fees vary based on whether the wire is domestic or international, incoming or outgoing. Please refer to our most current Schedule of Fees or contact your local branch for more information.
Wire transfers should be considered the same as cash and are generally final once processed. In rare cases, you may request a recall if the funds haven’t been released by the receiving bank, but there’s no guarantee of success. This is why it’s critical to verify all payment details before submitting a wire request.
