BankSouth celebrates customers’ 100th birthdays

GREENSBORO, Ga. – On September 25, BankSouth gathered to celebrate two of its customers’ 100th birthday. The celebration for Lorraine Friedman of Greensboro and Erma Thinnes of Buckhead was attended by Friedman’s and Thinnes’ friends and families, as well as staff from the bank’s Lake Oconee branch.

Friedman, who turned 100 last month has been a BankSouth customer since 1997 when BankSouth was known as Citizens Union Bank. Thinnes, who turns 100 in November began banking with BankSouth in 2006. The two birthday girls were gifted with a cake, flowers, and local goodies in celebration of their centennial and loyalty to BankSouth.

“As bankers, we have the opportunity to build lifetime relationships and witness our customers’ journeys as they navigate different phases of their lives. It’s always a pleasure to celebrate milestones like this with them,” said Kaitlyn Paschal, BankSouth’s VP, Retail Area Manager.
