Haven’t received your stimulus payment? In early March, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) began issuing a third round of stimulus payments as part of the federal government’s coronavirus economic relief plan.
Payments have been and are still being issued by direct deposit or via check or debit card by mail to those who:
- filed their 2019 or 2020 taxes,
- registered for the first round of stimulus payments as a non-filer on the IRS website last year, or
- receive Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, Railroad Retirement Board benefits or Veterans Affairs benefits.
If you have not received your third stimulus payment and are concerned about the bank information the IRS has on file for you, we encourage you to utilize the IRS Get My Payment tool to receive a status on when and how you should expect your stimulus payment or if there has been any issues with issuing your payment. The IRS website is the best resource for up-to-date information regarding your economic impact payment.
Please also remember to stay alert for scams and safeguard your bank and private information. The IRS will not initiate contact with you by email, text messages or social media to request your personal or financial information. Please don’t hesitate to contact a banker at your local branch if you are unsure about a call, email or text message you’ve received requesting money or your private financial information.
