GREENSBORO and SAVANNAH, GA March 14, 2023 – Today at the Women Who Rule event hosted by United Way of the Coastal Empire, Board Member and former Chief Banking Officer, Kay Ford, was recognized with the well-deserved honor of Woman of the Year!

“It’s been a pleasure to have become close friends with Kay and I think it’s fantastic that she is being recognized in this way,” said Harold Reynolds, Chairman and CEO of BankSouth.

Ford retired as Chief Banking Officer (CBO) from BankSouth in 2021, but she hasn’t slowed down. She remains on the BankSouth Board of Directors, is also the Chair of the Savannah Technical College Foundation Board and Chair-elect for the Savannah Economic Development Authority.

Previously, Ford has served on a variety of other community-focused boards including United Way of the Coastal Empire, Memorial Health Foundation of Memorial Health Medical Center, Housing Authority of Savannah, among several others.

After 41 years and holding several senior-level retail banking positions at SunTrust Bank, Ford retired and later joined BankSouth as our CBO.

Today, Ford and her husband have raised three children and have seven grandchildren.

Please join us in congratulating Kay Ford on this tremendous achievement and honor.
