Jake Lee

Jake Lee serves as AVP, Relationship Manager in our Savannah market. Jake has been with BankSouth since 2020 and has served in a variety of positions that prepared him for his current role. Over the course of his time in the banking industry, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to meeting customers’ financial needs.

Jake joined the bank as a Loan Operations Intern in our Watkinsville, Ga. operations center before graduating from UGA’s Terry College of Business with a degree in Finance. Jake was hired full-time by BankSouth’s Savannah branch as an Operations Analyst, where he co-led the PPP team processing over 800 forgiveness applications and 500 round 2 PPP applications. He then went on to be named Credit Analyst where he assisted Relationship Managers and the Senior Loan Committee on live loan requests, renewals, and more. In his most recent position as Portfolio Manager, he worked directly with Relationship Managers to approve and underwrite commercial loans, as well as monitor the loans’ lifecycles.

In July of 2024, BankSouth was pleased to announce the promotion of Jake to Assistant Vice President, Relationship Manager. In this role, Jake applies his knowledge from his previous positions to deepen his roots in the Savannah community to meet the ongoing banking and lending needs of this ever-changing market.

When Jake isn’t assisting customers, he enjoys UGA football in the fall and is an active member of the Humane Society of Georgia and an alumni member of his UGA fraternity.
