How to send and receive wire transfers
A wire transfer is an electronic payment service for transferring funds by wire (for example, through the Federal Reserve Wire Network). BankSouth offers wire transfer services for current customers for both Domestic and International Wires. Our Wire Transfer services provide a reliable, secure method for transferring domestic or USD international payments—with detailed routing and transaction information.

Outgoing wire transfers can be generated at BankSouth for a small fee. Please refer to our Schedule of Fees for more information on fees for wire transfers. To initiate sending a wire transfer, contact the recipient of the funds to determine wiring instructions for their bank account. This will likely include the receiving financial institution's routing number, along with the account number for the receiving party. Once that information is collected, please call our Customer Care Center at (706) 453-2265 or contact a Personal Banker at one of our full-service branches.
