GREENSBORO, Ga. – In response to the recent law enforcement tragedy in Putnam County, BankSouth held a donation match fundraiser to benefit the families of fallen Officers Monica and Billue. BankSouth is pleased to announce that they have met their $10,000 goal and received $11,306.77 in donations from the community and will be matching those donations for a total of $21,306.77. These donations will be made from the BankSouth Foundation and will be given directly to the families.
“Our community was deeply affected by this tragedy and loss, but it is a wonderful thing to see the way our friends and neighbors came together to support these families, and BankSouth would like to thank everyone that contributed. We will continue to pray for all those involved and for the safety of all law enforcement personnel. We hope that this token of gratitude and condolences will help the Monica and Billue families, not only financially, but to also feel the love and support our community has for them,” said Harold Reynolds, chairman and CEO, BankSouth.
