Help

An electronic statement, or e-statement, is an exact copy of your traditional monthly or quarterly bank account statement, made available as an electronic document, retrieved online and available the morning after your regular statement cycle ends.

Q. What if this is the first time I have received an e-Statement?
A. Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed to view your statement. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here to download it. Please refer to the User ID and Password you selected when you signed up for the service. Once you have successfully signed on, we recommend that you change your password to an alpha-numeric eight character password. To change the password, click the “Change Password” link. If you have any questions regarding your e-Statement, please call any BankSouth location and ask to speak to your Personal Banker. It is recommended that you view your statement with Internet Explorer 7, or a later version.

Q. Why did the bank decide to use e-Statements?
A. The main reason for the decision was to provide better customer service. We can deliver your statement immediately after it is generated and it is accessible from any location that meets the system requirements.

Q. How do I sign up for e-Statements?
A. You can sign up for e-Statements through Online Banking.

Q. How do I change my e-mail address for my e-Statement delivery?
A. For security reasons, please contact your Personal Banker and they can change it for you.

Q. What if I forget my password?
A. Contact Customer Care at (706) 453-2265 and we will be glad to reset your password.

Q. Are there any system requirements?
A. Yes, customers must have the following:

  • Internet Access
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher – Can be downloaded for FREE
  • Internet Explorer 7 or a newer version

Q. How do I retrieve my e-Statement?
A. Once your e-Statement is available, you will be sent an e-mail notifying you that your statement is ready to be viewed. The e-mail will contain a link to the e-Statements secure web site. Next, use your confidential User Name and Password to login and retrieve the statement.

Q. What is the print program I should use for e-Statements?
A. Adobe Reader. It is FREE.

Q. How do I print my E-Statement?
A. After you login to e-Statements, find the statement you’d like to print, click on the word STATEMENT, to the right of the date of the statement you would like to View. Click the Printer icon. The e-Statement will look exactly like the paper copy you are used to seeing.

Q. How long will my statements be available online?
A. After you sign up, your e-Statements will be available for six months. If you need a statement generated and mailed to you for a previous period, call Customer Care or your Personal Banker. There is no fee for printing a previous copy of your statement.

Q. Can I save my e-Statements on my personal computer?
A. Yes. After you login to the e-Statement website, select the statement you’d like to print by clicking the word STATEMENT to the right of the date of the statement you would like to view. Click File, Save As.

Q. Is the e-Statement site secure?
A. Yes. The site is secured using SSL (secure socket layer) technology with 128 bit encryption.

Q. What if I don’t like e-Statements, can I switch back?
A. Absolutely. However, we hope that you will find the convenience of E-Statements to be fast, simple and safe.

Q. Will other documents be available on e-Statement?
A. Yes, we plan to add other documents, such as notices, in the future.

Q. What if I didn’t receive my e-Statement?
A. You can contact Customer Care. However, if the system encounters an undeliverable e-mail it will result in a customer being removed from the service. BankSouth will mail your statement via the U.S. postal service, along with a letter informing you that you have been removed from e-Statements and you will need to re-enroll to begin receiving E-Statements again.

Q. Do I have to have Online Banking to use e-Statements?
A. Yes. e-Statements are available once you register for Online Banking.
