What is the best thing about being a BankSouth Mortgage loan officer?
Making the dream come true of homeownership for my customers. I am a person who is in constant contact with my customers throughout the whole process.
What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career?
• Consistently being in the top 10 in regards to producing.
• Having served several families over my 38-year career, it’s always exciting to hear from them for either repeat service, a referral, or to help their sons and daughters purchase their first home.
• Mentoring. One of my favorite things to do is teach, coach, and train. This has always been extremely rewarding for me. I have worked with some of the best in the business and have spent a lot of my time investing in those on the field and in corporate America.
What do you enjoy doing on the weekends?
I coach high school baseball from January to May. I also served as mayor pro-tem for close to 15 years for the City of Alpharetta. However, when not on a baseball field, I love spending time with my wife and 4 kids.

D.C. Aiken, a 48 year resident of the Metro Atlanta Area, graduated from the College of William and Mary with a BA in Economics. With more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage business, he has a solid understanding of the local real estate market and knows how to find the best mortgage financing solution to fit your specific needs.

I cannot say enough how wonderful it was working with DC and his team. They went above and beyond for our family. DC Aiken and his team are simply the best. DC offered the lowest rate we could find on our mortgage, and he and his team stayed in constant communication with us throughout the process. As first-time home buyers, we didn't have questions about what to expect or what to do because they gave us the answers before we even knew what to ask! The application was simple, approval was quick, and even our realtor and closing attorney were impressed by their experience with DC. Simply the BEST!

We had an amazing experience working with D.C Aiken and team at BankSouth. He was super transparent every step of the way, and we couldn't have asked for a better team to work with. Never in my previous experience has a company been as responsive with returning calls and emails as they have been, ensuring we were informed and stress-free each step of the way! They got us an excellent rate, and then helped us close much earlier than anyone thought was realistically possible! When we were given absurd estimates for our homeowners insurance, they've looked out for our best interest and found us a quote that was 3x cheaper. Anytime our friends or family are looking for a mortgage, we will definitely be telling them to give D.C. a call!
