1 To be eligible, you must open a BankSouth Checking Account and activate a debit card no later than 12/31/2022 in connection with this offer. Eligible accounts include BankSouth Simple Checking which has an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 0.00%. Other checking accounts may have higher APYs and may require higher balances to earn the APY. Rates are variable and subject to change at our discretion. Fees may reduce earnings. This advertisement is accurate as of 3/3/2022. $250 bonus will be deposited into customer’s BankSouth checking account on the 15th day of the seventh full calendar month after debit card activation if the account remains in good standing and after the offer criteria are met. For your account to be considered in “good standing” you must (1) have a positive balance on your account; and (2) have no legal orders, levies or liens against your account. The $250 bonus will be reported to the IRS as 1099 interest income at the end of the calendar year of crediting and will be subject to income taxation.
2 To redeem $250 reward, eligible customers must have a minimum of 20 debit card point of sale transactions per calendar month in each of the first six full calendar months following the opening of the account and activation of your debit card (includes e-commerce purchase transactions).
3 A minimum of 2 direct deposit transactions per calendar month must be made to the account at a minimum of $350 per direct deposit for each of the first six full calendar months following the opening of the account and activation of your debit card.
